Privacy, in plain words
Adopter Circle is run by our rescue for our adopters. Here's exactly what we keep, why, and how to make it go away.
What we keep
- Your name and email — to sign you in and let our team and other members say hello.
- Your dog's name and the year you adopted — so our team can match you to our adoption records.
- A simple record of who approved or declined a request — so the rescue team can see what happened.
We never sell your information, and we never share it with anyone outside the rescue.
Where you live
We don't ask for your address. If we later add walking buddies, it will only ever use a rough area, and only if you switch it on yourself. You will be able to switch it off again at any time.
Who can see what
Only approved members can see what is inside the Circle. Pages inside are hidden from search engines, and there are no public profiles. The landing page, this privacy page and the guidelines are the only things anyone else can read.
Deleting your account
For now, to delete your account and the details we keep about you, contact the rescue and ask. A real person on the team will take care of it.
